Technical Architecture

LivePrice is built as a lightweight, fast-loading web application optimized for performance and reliability. The platform uses vanilla JavaScript to fetch real-time price data from our source APIs and updates the interface every 3 minutes (180 seconds) automatically.

Cryptocurrency Price Updates

Every 3 minutes, LivePrice queries the Binance API to retrieve the latest 24-hour ticker data for BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, SOL/USDT, and DOGE/USDT trading pairs. This data includes the current price, 24-hour price change percentage, and volume statistics.

For historical price data (7-day, 30-day, 1-year, 2-year, and 5-year performance), LivePrice dynamically fetches candlestick data from Binance's klines API endpoint and calculates percentage changes based on the opening price of the historical timeframe compared to the current price.

Precious Metals Price Updates

Gold and silver prices are fetched from GoldPrice.org's real-time API, which provides the current XAU/USD and XAG/USD spot prices. For historical data, LivePrice queries the LBMA's JSON API endpoints to retrieve daily gold PM fixes and silver prices, then calculates percentage changes across multiple timeframes.

Data Accuracy and Reliability

All prices displayed on LivePrice are rounded to the appropriate decimal places for clarity while maintaining accuracy. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Dogecoin prices show 2-4 decimal places depending on the asset's value. Gold and silver prices display 2 decimal places, representing the spot price per troy ounce in US dollars.

Privacy and Data Collection

LivePrice does not collect, store, or sell any user data. We don't use cookies for tracking purposes. We don't require email addresses or personal information. We don't install analytics scripts that monitor user behavior.

The only data transmitted when you use LivePrice is the API requests to fetch current price data from Binance, GoldPrice.org, and LBMA. These requests do not include any identifying information about you.
